"Cookie"A Poem by Noche
With my hands in the cookie jar,
I didn't make it quite as far, As I would have liked, since I've developed a taste, For all the delights that you've placed... In front of me, elegantly so, That wondrous sensation I've come to know, Helplessly addicted to, Every little thing about you... But of course I'll never say, Since being shy's my only way, Desperately trying to conceal, The way I truly feel... So as I take another bite, Knowing that at night, I won't be able to enjoy this delicacy, To revel in this ecstasy... Of knowing that you're oh-so-near, Making it so very clear, That even without these pieces you've heated with love, It'd still be you I would be thinking of... I'll take a few more just in case, Since the flavors still make my heart race, So let me just take a few, And savor the moment I never knew... Knowing who these are really for, The guy I couldn't be - the guy next door, You've caught me with my hands in the cookie jar, Though I'm really surprised I made it this far... Yet it's you who's to blame, For turning this into a game...
