Fight

Fight

A Poem by Noche

I really am tired of the fights
Of sleepless and long-winded nights
Where insomnia sings the way
Breaking toys like the day

Cast aside with other used splendor
Embracing a short-paced endeavor
As breath falls short much like my skies
Will I float on this sea of lies?

Or will I drown in a canvas set
In clothes drenched wet
With the tears of lost sleep
Will the nights keep --

Dragging on in ways that pause
Stopping amidst a titan's jaws
Force and break among the waves
Who will it be who saves

From struggling breathes of a city
Usually laughing and always giddy
Smiles at my black-bagged eyes
Hearty smirks at my questioned 'Why's

As empty stares beckon back
Eyes of abyss reap and attack
A legion, seige, of a place once divine
One I thought was so fine

The place of my head still swaying
Tricksters of my mind still playing
I really am tired of the nights
That break along sleepless fights

Where insomnia seizes and stops all fate
And crushes all beneath its weight.
