SilenceA Poem by Noche
Through hell and back, my love still wait,
For the moment I take the bait, And fall to a darkened madness, Followed by a heartbroken sadness. She sit and wait, as the world come crashing, As I lay about thrashing, Plagued with the thoughts of old, Of cyanide and poison told. Of a past who's harm and broken shards, Decorate the fields and yards, Of crossroads left without a thought, As heartbreak wrenches brought. And still leaves the knight, wound, Silent and without a sound, Still moving though with stiffened ends, As he tries to make amends. Tendrils of darkness still, Seep into his broken will, Cloud his eyes, his mind, his soul, Throwing him out of control. And just when all seems lost, Just when he again seems tossed, So used to the timed throw away, Just as his heart is about to sway - The darkness opens, as her wings, Break and melt all things, All things rotten, all things dark, Winding and giving a spark, A push to the wind-up knight, Who still pushes to fight, Against the weight on her shoulders, With a strength to shatter boulders - Of doubts, of sorrow, To brighten tomorrow, As the pains wrack him so, Pains that will soon go... At the touch of the little gear, Rotating, moving all fear, Out from his heart, and giving strength, To take strides of any length. Steps in the right direction, Hoping to build a stronger connection, A relationship with all that he holds so dear, A bond, with an angel so clear - So pure, so kind, So gentle, so refined, Who stays beside him as he so, Rids him of pains he's so well knows. © 2013 Noche |
