Laying awake, with you on my mind,

Wondering how it's possible for someone so kind,

To settle for someone as flawed as me,

When there are so many other fish in the sea.

Yeah, I know it's been a few days in,

With questions about everything within,

And without,

To love without a doubt.

Wanting to see this through,

Forever and always with you,

Yeah, it's a few days still,

Loving you more, and always will.

Despite the fears of moving too fast,

Despite the fears of a haunting past,

Lurks the questions that surface through,

Growing ever more curious of you...

And still, I wonder if we're moving too fast,

Will this end up like it has in the past?

Trying to save something that's wanted to end,
And taken so long for a broken heart to mend?

But most importantly, I can tell...

That you're not one to yell,

In pain, in suffering, silent still,

Remember this, as I hope you will...

That, "Even though I'm farthest from great,

I will never hesitate,

To love you with all my heart,

To try and bridge this distance apart.

To try no matter what, because you see...

You're everything to me..."
