Dream

Dream

A Poem by Shy
"

Old poem from last year I wrote.

"
I had a dream
I couldn’t scream
What I felt was horrible
Pure agony and something macabre

The beauty I knew was gone
Darkness surrounded me, I was alone
The night became hollow
My heart got filled with sorrow

Not your fault nor mine
I promise you, I’ll be fine
Let me rest for a while
Tomorrow I will smile

I hear this haunting melody
It’s a beautiful melancholy
I’ll stand up and fly again
Once again, forgotten pain

Grab my hand and come
The world isn’t monochrome
I’ll sing just for you
And heal that forsaken soul of yours

We’ll walk on the plains
Look at the sky, paper cranes
Follow me, don’t hide
I’ll destroy your evil pride

You’ll change, I promise
It’ll happen on a solstice
Cry on my shoulder, my dear
There’s nothing more to fear
