Shadow Over Me

Shadow Over Me

A Poem by unspokenguilt
"

A mother struggles to see that her daugther is a totally diffrent person than her other daugther and needs the chance to make her own decisions whether they'd be mistakes or not

"

We’re two different people
not the least bit
the same
I follow your rules
so who heres to blame
She is her and
 I am me
We both think
quite differently
Don’t think of me
when you think of her
Keep me all to yourself
If that’s your solution
As long as you see
That it’s me you are caging
Her crimes
are not mine
I’ll use my head
not hers
I know right from wrong
Have faith and you’ll see
I can make my own decisions
If you’d just set me free

Great job expressing that you are unique and different from your sister. That you are willing to grow from her experiences and not make the same mistakes.
