Indecisively Me

Indecisively Me

A Poem by unspokenguilt
"

:known is to not:

"

I walk through an empty hall

and

I wish I had a friend next to me

I walk through a crowded hall

and

I wish I had some room

to breathe

to scream

to live

sending mixed signals

confused

on my own

distant

I stand alone

I write what I feel

and

I write what I know

I write observations

am I living?

you ask of me

you do it so coldly

indecisive

yet willing

draining

yearning

failing

to be

KNOWN

I guess you know exactly what you mean. To me it sounds like someone searching for assurance that they're walking the right road--doing the right things. Then again, perhaps it is purpose and notoriety which you seek. Well, we never know for sure if the path we've taken will lead us where we want to go. As long as you're trying, that's what's important.

it is very interesting... we often struggle everyday with who we are and who we want to be... those feeling are written very nicely here... I know I can relate to what you say as well.

I really enjoyed this and think many can relate. Some of us need some alone time to do what we love. I think the secret is in balancing it all. I deal with the public five days a week so I tend to be selfish with my off time. I always have time for my family, my dog my cat! I've been hurt quite a bit by friends and so called friends and users. At this point of my life I tend to back off and keep a couple good friends. It's quality not quantity. Your poem got me thinking! You have a wonderful talent and it's great to see you are focusing on it.
