A Thoughtless BlunderA Story by unspokenguiltShy girl meet broken boy. Sarce is empty after his parents divorce then he goes through his very own breakup a relationship he'd do anything to keep. Anyer is relatively anti social, could she have a reason?
“Don’t be stupid…it’s not you, how can you think that?”
“Yeah well, you two seemed so much happier till I came along.” He said thumbing her suitcase.
“Yeah well, pictures can be deceiving.” She scoffed.
“Yeah well, Marriage is a sham.”
His mom shrugged “Then does that make me a fool, Sarce?”
“No, I’m the fool. I’m not even enough of a reason to make you stay.”
“You were the reason for which I stayed so long, but now you’re older, stronger, wiser, you’re perfectly capable of understanding that me and your father don’t mix.”
Sarce watched as Karen straightened the contents of her suit case. His mother was determined to leave. “Yeah but…”
“Damn it Sarce, I wasn’t the one who cheated!”
“Of course not MOM, you’re just the one who’s abandoning the child.”
“You chose to stay with your father. I never said you couldn’t come. This could be a great thing Sarce, just you and me!” She smiled encouragingly.
“Yeah well, I couldn’t leave Dezi behind.”
“You be good to her, then.” Her smile had faded. “I love you!”
Karen Hugged Sarce then grabbed her bags and left knowing that that would be the last time she would ever see her son if his father had anything to do with it.

Anyer was sitting alone at lunch, tray in front of her, food untouched.
“He’s not here” She sighed. “…or he’s avoiding me.” She realized.
How could I have told him that, of course he wouldn’t feel the same and if he did, would I just be a rebound?Anyer placed her head on the table and inhaled the lemon scented surface.
Sarce entered the cafeteria and smiled.
What the heck was that girl doing now? Sarce walked past all the eager faces and the annoyingly happy greetings. He was separated from this world now at least that’s how he felt, and the only one who could bring him back if only for a little while was across an endless maze sniffing a table. He laughed at that thought and it pained him that it seemed so unusual. She was obviously broken and he was going to fix that. Why did she never say a word?
“Smell good? I bet it tastes even better!”
A smile spread wide across Anyer’s face as she lifted her head.
“You take a lick then and then tell me how that goes.”
Sarce sat opposite from her and took her in. the flow of her long, dark, brown hair, the calm of her dark, brown eyes, the gentleness of her pink full lips…all the things that left him baffled. She was pretty and yet impossibly invisible.
This felt good. Sure he hadn’t said any thing about the other day, but at least he was there talking to her and just hearing his voice alone was good enough, wasn’t it?
Sarce leaned towards the table pretending to lick it, but so close to actually doing it. At the same time, Anyer’s hand slid under and Sarce’s tongue grazed the top of her skin. Sarce jumped back and Anyer’s eyes bugged, both were shocked.
“I…I was only joking.” she muttered.
“Ahem…” Randy was standing at the edge of their table frowning.
“Oh, right.” Sarce said getting up to leave.
“Bye!’ Anyer tested.
“Huh. Yeah? Good bye, Hun.” Randy said placing his hand to Sarce’s back and leading him away.
At the door Sarce glanced back to see Anyer get up and throw her tray.

Sarce was sitting in Randy’s garage, just starring into space while Randy and his crew continued to fool around. “
Where is she?” he said no longer patient.
Randy’s smile faded.
“I uh, I asked her not to come. You see to join you have to give…she gave up you. Frankly, I would have settled for some shoelace but she, she wanted to show her devotion.”
Sarce tightened his fists, “Well, I want her back so free her from your little club.”
“I can’t do that, but um…make me an offer, join the club and she’ll be yours again.”
“I don’t have much. I’ve got nothing you’d want.” Sarce whispered.
“Think…I know you’re troubled, a little down…but surely there’s something that makes you smile.” Randy said emphasizing it with an annoyingly false sense of a joyful tone.
Sarce trailed off, and at once an image of Anyer appeared and he let it stay there for a while.
“There, that’s it …give me that!” Randy interrupted.
Sarce blinked back into focus, “What?”
Randy sighed, “Whatever you are thinking about. Give me that!”
“It’s not a… that”
“But it’s a something and if you want Dezi back, you’ll give it to me.”
Without much thought to it the words slipped from his lips, “Consider her yours. I’ll just need some time.”
Randy raised a brow, “Tomorrows time enough.”

“You like him don’t you?” Randy probed while stretching out on the table.
“What?” Anyer looked up from her book and stared at him. She was in the library and had been far into her book when Randy and Sarce had plopped on her table. Well, Randy had plopped while Sarce sort of just floated in the background.
“Whether I do or whether I don’t is none of your business.”
Randy snatched her book and held it back “Oh come on, I haven’t got all day. Do you or don’t you”
Anyer glanced at Sarce who was standing about a foot behind Randy, totally expressionless.
“And if I do?” she meant to say it to Sarce, but directed it at Randy.
Randy smiled looking at Sarce, then back to Anyer. “Well if you like him like I think you do, then you should be willing to do anything for him, am I right?”
Anyer was puzzled. What was it with this whole middle-man thing? She looked throughRandy and directly to Sarce, whose eyes remained glued to the floor
“Do you need something from me?” She questioned.
Sarce avoided looking back at her as he shook his head yes and then slid his way down to the ground crouching by the table.
Randy prompted her attention. “Would you sleep with me, if he wanted you to?” he said pointing in Sarce’s direction
Anyer’s eyes widened, then she shot a look at Sarce. Apparently his head had snapped up at the question too because her eyes had met his.
He knew it was coming, he knew it was what he had promised, but he couldn’t believe what he was asking her to do. Did Dezi's love really mean so much to him that he was willing to corrupt another girl’s innocence for it, and was Anyer just another girl?”
“I think about you always… you know how I feel.” Her eyes dove into him.
Sarce flinched. So that was her reply? Would she really do anything for him? Could he live with himself after asking her to do that?
“It is the ultimate way to prove your love.” Randy grinned.
Anyer couldn’t believe what they were discussing in the library…but if Sarce really needed her to prove it to him, then she would. She had to make him realize that she wouldn’t hurt him like Dezi had, and that she was different…that she loved him no matter what the cost.
“Well, here’s my address…come here after school.” Randy said, rising out of his chair and motioning for Sarce to follow.
