The Sum of My LoveA Poem by Elvis GilleyBi-polar moment of losing love, and the despair of the unknown. If I
were to bleed, would you come? If I
were to cry, would you hear me? If I were to whisper, would you respond? If I
cut this wrist, Would you
hear a whimper? Or
perhaps do you think that you might feel it? These riddles
I can’t answer. These
rhymes, I don’t know. I do
know if I slice this vein, I will
feel relief from this pain. Perhaps,
I will
hear you whimper. Yet
will I be able to reach you? But
know this my love. I took
this breath knowing That I
loved you. © 2013 Elvis GilleyFeatured Review
