My Friend

My Friend

A Poem by Elvis Gilley
"

The pain of betrayal and heartache of deceit.

"

Lifeless you lay before thy maker

Seeking hope for thy despairing soul

Looking up and gasping for breath

All the while the life within thy lungs fade

The brown eyes sunken deep within

The hopeless faces stare endless upon you

Alone in thy hell you hear the calls

The screams of the masses which echo within thy head

Thy ears fill with the shrills of fear

Those eyes frozen upon the stare of death

The blood within thy veins frozen

While thy body convulses upon the floor

I wonder my friend

Can you hear the words of thy lies

As they bounce around this platform of hell

Do you hear as they pierce the very essence of your soul

The hate and rage consumed you

The fear of the unknown rules you

The fact of thy selfishness

Has lead you aimlessly along the paths of sorrow

You see my friend there is a God and his words shall always ring true. So spare yourself the pain and suffering of humiliation. Don’t call upon his name and try and deceive his Holy Spirit.
