Graceful Journey

The most difficult journeys in life bring about the greatest triumph.

My soul drifts to soothing tones

while the rumors of despair this heart bemoans

 

Faith stands before me by the ocean still

I seek his presence so that I may begin to heal

 

Reach into my soul

for arrogance and vanity have taken their toll

 

Animosity fills my mind

while it is the love of God I seek to find

 

I lay at your feet with weeping eyes and a satirical heart

pleading that we should never part

 

Though anger and ignorance defiled me

your grace will cover me through eternity
