Sarcasm

Sarcasm

A Poem by Elvis Gilley
"

Truly my strongest poetic voice.

"

In the midst of my frailty

I stand in amazement of my own stupidity

the arrogance and beauty with which I reign

In the silence of fear and shame

I kneel and play these mind numbing games

in a world in which Satan reigns

In this day of wasted hours

I knock upon the door of selfish bliss

a world in which I have created

So, in the midst of this rhyme

amongst the lessons of wasted time

I ask, what purpose does this life serve?
