Do You Know

Do You Know

A Poem by Elvis Gilley
"

Sometimes we just get enough of others people and their attitudes.

"

Did I tell you?

Maybe so.

If I did,

Then you would know.

The thoughts of my heart, body, and soul,

the very intentions of all my goals.

If silence is what you hear,

then hush thy mouth,

and wipe away your tears.

For you my friend are a babbling fool,

sent to find treasure without the tools.

So if I speak of my hearts desire,

then hear my words burn like fire.

Let the heat pierce your soul,

for then I want you to know.

For those dreams,

I keep,

to my self,

truly are none of your business.
