Waterfront ThoughtsA Poem by Elvis GilleyMemories of a day at the beach. The winds of change howl in my life, as waves crash against the shrimpers vessel. Tides of the Spirit cleanse my soul. Aches of the past are washed away.
A toddler writes in the soft white sand. The dreams of yesterday are my reality. Peace and serenity consume me.
Gulls silently pace the oceans shores. In these precious moments I know God. The power and authority in which he reigns. Still through it all he always cares.
A family journeys by. No doubt reflecting as the waters bathe the sand. A sultry breeze and foam capped waves wash us in love.
A day of reflection Lord for though I struggle; I know your hand is upon me. Aman © 2012 Elvis Gilley |
