Finding Cesar

Finding Cesar

A Poem by Elvis A. Sanchez

Calling all the monsters

In search of every child’s closet

Because I've searched the Hundred-acre Woods

Just to see you, I went to the future with the Robinsons

Because I cannot find her baby

Can it be, he won’t even remember me?

But I’ll search the world, even defeat Evil Emperor Zurg

Take on three sharks as we swim past the Swirly Vortex of Terror

‘Cause where was Hercules when I was in need?

It was Wreck-it Ralph who was helping me

And if I’m Tangled up in this fairy tale

Then why isn’t my nephew there?

Where’s Cesar?

Say it ain’t so McQueen

That Mater’s riding solo

Because Peter Pan swears he believes

That he saw you in space playing with Eve

But I’ll search the galaxy because what’s Buzz Lightyear without Woody?

Keep swimming through a field of jellyfish because finding you is my only wish

So where was Hercules when I was in need?

It was Fix-it Felix who was searching with me

And if I’m Tangled up in this fairy tale

Then why isn't her baby there?

Where’s Cesar?

But where’s Cesar?

But I’ll search the sea ‘cause what’s Buzz Lightyear without Woody?

Search every door, ‘cause you can’t have Boo without Sulley

So tell me, where was Hercules when I was in need

As I was searching the sky with Dusty

And if I’m Tangled up in this fairy tale

Then why is Cesar still not there

‘Cause if you’re lost in the ocean waiting to be found

I’ll meet you in Sydney because we promised “For Infinity and Beyond”
