Velina, the Royal Huntress

Velina, the Royal Huntress

A Poem by elvenom

Here comes the king's night guard,
the never-sleeping hawk of thrones,
a living muse for every bard,
shooting arrows, breaking bones.

Drifting with precision
through the night and through the day,
her eagle eye vision
locks on to her guilty prey.

Dancing storm of piercing bolts -
raining hell upon her foes.
A beauty on the dusty roads,
with crossbow, heavy judgment throws.

Walking through a bloody river
of bodies of the kingdom traitors,
the source came from Velina’s quiver -
the archer’s armor penetrators.
