Hand Too Firm

Hand Too Firm

A Poem by Claire Marie
"

Ha! Look! This one isn't about a boy! Very very different, as well as personal. Experimenting with prose lately. Haven't posted in a bit, hope you enjoy.

"
SHOUTS AND A PAN CLATTERING TO THE FLOOR//PAINTINGS OF BLUE AND PURPLE AND CANVAS SO SOFT//HUSHED WHISPERS AND BROKEN PROMISES LINGER IN THE AIR//THE ROOM RISES AND FALLS, THE ARGUMENT CRESCENDOING//I'M IN THE OTHER ROOM PAINTING AWAY THE DARK CIRCLES UNDER MY EYES//A SLAP AND IT ALL GOES SILENT//THE MASCARA IS DRIPPING DOWN MY FACE AND I'M SHAMELESSLY PAINTING PAINTING PAINTING (A MESS NOT A WORK OF ART)//LOVE HURTS BUT IT SHOULD NEVER LEAVE SCARS
