Out There

Out There

A Poem by Ellie Jons

When you're out there,

tell me, where will you go?

When shadows slay you,

and glares puncture you,

where will you go?

When the world swallows you whole,

even spits in your face,

where will you go?

When poisonous words are spoken

and false hopes broken,

where will you go?

When your head hangs low,

but not as low as the thoughts inside,

where will you go?

When you're out there,

when your days have become

nothing at all,

tell me, where did you go?

Wonderfully penned heartfelt words, echoing the sadness of how someone can be so laone in a world as full as this, and alone in mind also.
