he's more than i can take, he's more than i wanted, he's what i needed, i love him.

"write me a song," i ask [jokingly.]

he composes a symphony.

"will you love me when you return?" i question [knowingly]

he promises forever and always.

 

i'm never afraid of him leaving for more than a bit, he's always back and that's all i've ever known, i have him in my grasp but i'm not bored like i should be and i'm wishing this could go on forever. this is different from anything i've ever had, and we all know i like a little variety in my life. he's different from the other boys [and girls] that were always at my beck and call, he knows saying no keeps me intrigued and keeps me guessing. we have a quiet relationship, and i like it like that. we're not quite two peas in a pod; i'm a wink and he's a nod. we compliment and contrast each other. we can communicate with no words. we can love with no touches. we can sit in bed and read all night, laughing over nothing. curled up, listening to the rain fall onto the roof, then running out and dancing in the street while the cool raindrops soak us.
