Intangible

Intangible

A Poem by ellie

I sink in my own pool of tears,

Or maybe they're yours too.

I listen to my own sobs,

Or maybe you're my echo.

I see my shadow, distended and beastly,

Or maybe you're merely my reflection.

i  taste metallic blood,

Or maybe yours shed too.

I breath hot fiery air,

Or maybe you're blowing it on me.

I lay in a prickly bed of needles,

Or maybe those are your nails.

I talk to myself,

Or maybe that's you responding.

I feel restless and hurt,

Or maybe that's you afflicting it.

I carry on through it all

Or maybe that's you pushing me

I'm surrounded by darkness

Or maybe that's you blinding me
