My Plants

My Plants

A Poem by ellie may

If there's one thing I own
That's solely my own
It's these thoughts I've watered and grown
In my most content home
The questions are planted
The answers still yet to be granted
But with love they are watered
Never to be slaughtered
Life's lessons are their sun
My tears their water
The experiences their fun
My love, their shelter
For without such combination
There'd be limitations
Unbalance creates drowning from saturation
It would be the root of frustration
So I dear do say
That with each day
I give my thoughts new hay
And water them profusely as needed per tray
And in time my plants will grow
If I care enough to sew
Perhaps one day I'll know
The answers that for now are unknown
