A Lone Wolf

A Lone Wolf

A Poem by ellie may

We travel in packs

Yet I still feel alone

Always I slack

And never condone

My body runs free

While my heart stays trapped

I look to see

But confused is my map

I look for comfort

and long for love

I am single and rebellious

like an unpaired dove

My legs grow weary

I move slowly

I now see clearly

Even though I am lowly

You've always been there

Subconciously I knew

I struggled to get here

But I now feel renewed

I've found my partner

My long lost love

Im no longer a lone wolf

You, are my matching glove.
