Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

Okay, this one's really morbid. So morbid that it scares me I could've written this. Not meant to be sacrilegious or demonic by any means. Just a poem.

Under my skin, the spiderwebs creep

Through plasma and vein, relentless they seep

Trickling slowly, they sink ever deep

Darkened with bloodstains, they pulse a heartbeat

As my eyes shut to nightmarish sleep,

"I pray the Lord my soul to keep."

Well I have a lot of nice things to say :-P so there! lol Really though, This was a fantasic poem, short, sweet, symbolic, and to the point.. A great discription of what one goes through when they are depressed, or ones who PTSD and scitzo phrenia. I have all three. I relate to me poem very well and I really appreciate the context... Thank you for a marvellous creation and a wonderful write!
