On Meeting and Falling

On Meeting and Falling

A Poem by Ellen

I know I’m very hard to talk to. I realise that.

Life is a thousand word essay,

And maybe aliens don’t talk to us because we’re creepy.

You are someone who isn’t afraid to dance

It’s okay because everyone looks silly when they dance.

You’re the kind of person that people write songs about.

He asks:

Why are you at a party if you’re sad?

I am concerned about my own unstable behavior.

Some people fill the gaps, and others emphasize the loneliness.

Maybe I hate everything.

He tells them:

If she tells you you’re an idiot you’re a lucky man.

I love him in waves.

Today is a tsunami.
