What About Me?

What About Me?

A Poem by Ellen Henry

She's the only girl in whom you have truly ever loved, right?

The only one you have went out of your way to do things for?

The only one who ever truly mattered?

Possibly the only one that ever will?

Well, what about me?

Sitting here with my bleeding heart on my sleeve.

Begging, baby, love me please.

What about me?

The one who trusts you, then gets shut out.

The one you never truly cared about me.

Tell me...

What about me?

This was very honest (which I love) and very raw. It's definitely the kind of poem I am usually drawn to.
