Introversion

Introversion

A Poem by danielle.

Passion as a candle burns,
and I am like the room
Where fire flirts with whispers…
A waltz to absent tune.

Though masquerading silence
Would willingly adjourn,
If they knew the lyrics
To thought’s relentless turn.

A contemplative and somewhat wistful kind of poem. I am often introspective, so I can certainly relate to this write. Some good, poetic imagery here.

love the imagery here, yes on the "knew"....
but the last two lines of the first stanza dazzle...
and I like the idea of the silence adjourning so that the music that is wihin, might just emerge.
