Perfect Nonsence

Perfect Nonsence

A Poem by danielle.

Empty page;

Hello friend

Up down

Round and round

Often lost

Sometimes found

It’s a circle

Where’s the end

Find the start and maybe then

Like the verse that found a pen

The little broken part will mend

Climbing goals

Kicking hills

Learning questions

Asking skills

Calming up

Firing down

Haha silly-billy clown

Why you frown

Now you know

Nothing lasts forever though

Seeking thrills

Yes it’s nice

Twice the fun for thrice the price

Come on then

Chin-up you

Tell me what you gonna do?

Here’s your choices one-two-three

Or maybe go for option ‘B’

Yes that’s it

It’s definite

Clear as mud

Sure as s**t!

Settle down what’s your rush?

It’s like you only get one chance

Hurry up now

Stop and think

Steady on no time to blink

There you are

On the fence

Straddling perfect nonsense

Time is marching

Watch it go

An army fit to stem this flow

I have never been good at rhymes.. maybe I should try nonsense.. but yours.. makes so much sense.. I hesitate to say more.. it's too good to compare.. a wise fool knows when it's enough said..

This is the best rhyming riff I've read in 2019! What I love -- how your thread of discourse feels organic & conversational, yet the rhyme & rhythm is so well-crafted, most writers of this genre somehow inject an overworked quality or an incomprehensible storyline, seeming to get tangled in an extended rhyming riff. Yours is perfectly crafted from top to bottom, yet sounding as if it just came off the top of your head! I'm very envious! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I just spent over an hour trying to put a second verse to a poem only to realize it didn't need one... so I just threw it out on the cafe 15 minutes ago and Ironically I read this now:) It's funny how the mind works sometimes I think just the act of typing puts the mind in motion and before you know it something is born!

even a flow of nonsense can burst the dam and get the pen flowing again.

sometimes it's the only way to restart the engine and get the boat moving again.
and also those words that first come might seem like a mess...but it is a good mess, because something is happening...

True Jacob. Yet somehow a rhyming mess is so much better than one that isn’t!
A clever verbal concoction, making some of nothing, asking questions and posing possibilities. I enjoyed it's light-hearted flow, it's challlenging pokes!
