Dichotomy

Dichotomy

A Poem by danielle.

She sits
Shackled by fear
Rescued by hope

She stands
Alone with herself
Surrounded by love

She comes
Crowned with irony
Cloaked in fortune

She wears
The weight of judgement
With a rebellion of freedom

She holds
The poisoned chalice
And the keys to anywhere

She walks
Fraught with chaos
Into tranquility

She runs
Stricken with sadness
Driven by passion

She cries
Wracked with guilt
Bathed in truth

She sees
The beauty
In spite of the horror

She is
Because
And because she is

love the paradoxes presented in this...for everything there is an opposite...for being loved there is being hated and for loving there is also despising....often times self and self-inflicted.
and the last stanza is terrific...wish i had written that.
