Stronger Than

I’m stronger than the doubts of self
That drift along like clouds with stealth
Casting shadows causing strife
Across the fabric of my life

I’m stronger than the first world pains
That niggle at me day to day
Minor ills and bills unpaid
These are not what I am made of

I’m stronger than shallow temptations
Opportunities choices situations
Quondam habits may die hard
But I’ll elect my forward path

I’m strong enough to stand my ground
To value trials for wisdom found
Compete with no one but myself
In truth and love I find my wealth

I’m stronger for this jigsaw heart
With all it’s pieces spread apart
Given with disclaimers none
To those who are the special ones
