The Absence of FeelingA Poem by danielle.
Sometimes when I am alone
I close my eyes and travel to a place of softness Where long hair caress bare skin On slides of sepia playing frame by frame I try to slow them To capture each before it slips away Commit to memory But every image changes faster than the one before Until the pictures are just a faded blur The space she filled is vacant now and the emptiness is numb Like needles and pins in a limb that has succumbed to the weight of its body In everything lost There must be something to be found © 2018 danielle.Reviews
