All At Once

All At Once

A Poem by Elleannatasha
"

The duality of us

"

Sometimes I am the reveler
at the Bacchanal
Sometimes I am the monk
in the monastery

Sometimes I am the warrior
Sometimes I am the child

Sometimes I am the Inquisitor
righteous in my right
Sometimes I am the nurturer
spilling milk and honey

Sometimes I am the moon
Sometimes I am the tide

Sometimes I am the gun
held trembling but sure
Sometimes I am the wound
left gaping and unhealed

Sometimes I am the suffering
Sometimes I am the tool

Sometimes I am the enemy
a villain easy to discern
Sometimes I am the mirror
reflective of your pain

Sometimes I am the lute
Sometimes I am the song

Sometimes I am the wrath
of all the things gone wrong
Sometimes I am the lover
supple and receiving of your touch

Sometimes I am nothing
Sometimes I'm all at once.

About
Wanderer... Musing over all the delights and absurdities by spinning them into word feasts. Drink a little. Have a slice. I like the rabbit hole. I feel very at home there. more..
