You catch more flies with Honey than you do with vinegar.

You catch more flies with Honey than you do with vinegar.

A Chapter by lovehurts

You know that saying "You can catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar."? Yeah, well It's kind of the story of my life except I'm the vinegar, My perfectly amazing sister is the honey and all those flies are guys and friends.

From that you can probably tell that I'm not the most popular girl ever, in fact I'm probably the least popular girl in my school, while my sister, Honey, Is the most popular girl in the school. I know, Honey, ironic. So anyways, I have always lived under her shadow except for the two minutes I was in this world and she was still in my mum's tummy. Even as new-borns she was better than me, I came out crying and she came out smiling, the phrase I have probably heard the most in my life is probably something like:

"Jennifer Why can't you just be more like your sister?"

It is either coming from mum, dad or teachers, no one cares about me, all they care about is their precious little Honey. I'm sure you’re wondering what we both look like, well I am kind of tom-boyish and I like wearing jeans, baggy t-shirts and converse, I also have glasses, my hair is light brown with a tint of blonde and I have aqua eyes. My sister on the other hand, she is tall, dirty blonde hair with a side-fringe, bright blue eyes, very girly and she wears contacts because my parents love her more to give her contacts instead of crappy old glasses they gave to me. She is a straight A student and she has won perfect attendance award every year since we started, even though I have gone to school every day like her.

Your probably wondering that if we are twins, don't we look alike? Well the truth is we are actually identical twins but my parents spend all the money on her and make her look beautiful and then just leave me with whatever I can find.

What just ticks me off about Honey is that she is completely two-faced, she is a perfect little angel to mum, dad and all the teachers but to me she is just a horrible, spoilt, bratty b***h! When she does something wrong, she always finds a way to blame it on me. I know that if you were in my situation you wouldn't be able to bare it, but what stops me from running away is this guy, he is amazing, his name is James. I've seen him at school and from the first time I saw him, I was in love with him. He has gorgeous longish black hair, amazing green eyes and REALLY nice. Perfect guy? I think so.

He is probably the only thing that is keeping me here and stopping me from running away. I have been making subtle hints for a long time and I think he has picked up on them because whenever I see him, he smiles, showing that perfect set of sparkly, pearly teeth. I am in the same science class as him and we sit across from each other, we do talk but it's quite awkward. The only problem about this guy is that he has a girlfriend, and you'll never guess who it is. Thats right, Honey. I don't give a s**t if I steal him from her and she goes off and has a cry and whatever, the only thing I want is him. When I see him, he fills the empty space in my heart.

The protagonist has a really strong voice and you explain the story's conflict perfectly in this chapter. You also create a sympathy for Jennifer with her sister being the favorite and everything. I can't wait to read more.
