A Poem by Ella Simone

$7.25

Tracking and racking

our brains

for new ways to go about

hacking

routines

to make gains.

Logging and clogging

our sleep

with dreams of

slogging

away

for cheap.

Forgetting we’re wetting

our boats

with the water

we’re treading

to float.

Deeming all tension

As acts of dissension

We tell on each other

For improbable pensions.

Pleading for seating

at company meetings

Is this what they said

Was that thing called succeeding?
