Mothers Day, Dear Principal

i wrote this for my principal for mothers day, it was a school assignment, what do you think?

A day of joy, a day of cheer, a day your students aren’t near
Holiday for our dear mother Viking
A Sunday in the month of May
A day from your students who laugh and play
I love this day, for it is grand
Your students care and we will give you a hand
In all of the work you have to do
Remember your students care for you
Mother’s day, the yearly gift
Students love you without rift
Friend, teacher, helper, mother
This is what you are Mrs. Viking, someone like you, there is no other
