October

October

A Poem by Ella Michelle

Now it is that time of year

Leaves are beautiful, and stunning in shape

Just look at the plant of belvedere

Beautiful sights, you don’t want to escape

Second month of the new school year

The month after school comes we are all sleep deprived

This season is one not full of haze

With the colder weather, the plants now are quite thrived

Time for the anniversary of a few birthdays

Halloween has finally arrived

This is a time of thirty-one days

Fear is all over town, so don’t loose your britches

I call this time the season of fright

Kids dressed up as Ghosts, Zombies, and Witches

When you go outside, the coldness will bite,

If you wear a costume with thin stitches

It’s dark out there, you should bring a flashlight

Just don’t drop it between your nervous twitches

September marks time for October again

November, Thanksgiving, brings the time to an end

Hang out with our friends, James and Ben

School carnivals, school field trips, and school grades with bitter end

This time of the year, breathtaking and fun

Season of autumn, most amazing visions

This time of the year only is one

The ground has many down leaves and branches, as you’re walking make good decisions
