Mother's Day

I wrote this in my english class for my mother

Mother’s Day is finally here

Time for a day of joy and cheer

May you receive breakfast in bed

You will have a day of rest and no dread

This day is one of appreciation

For caring mothers across the nation

You will have a day off of work and worry

You have a whole day so don’t you hurry

My mother, you always work so much

So I apologize that I cause for you trouble a bunch

But you are my mother and I love you so

Your love is like water, it helps me to grow

I’m always glad to have you near

On this day, I’m glad we’re here

Together, forever, we have a special bond

I notice your love is so very fond

You make me feel safe when danger appears

You help me when all I have are tears

I need you, I love you, admire you forever

I Insult you, I forget you, stand against you never

I love you dearly, this much is true

I wish to make this day amazing for you

You stand by me when I am mistaken

I apologize for what all from you I have taken

You are my mom, there is no other
