A Poem by Jake Martin

structure could never

save me

thats what puts

me down

structure can you

save me?

i want to turn this

around

strapped to a ticking

time bomb

at least its somewhat

warm

i've no idea what

the hell happened

thought i had

something going...

but perception is the mother of deception

help us friend

we've lost ourselves

i still remember well

that day

you looked so

wondeful

now it's all a hazy

mem'ry

the spark has

disappeared

but perception is the mother of deception

help us friend

we've lost ourselves

do you know what's killing

me now

the strength of speech

is great

so great in fact that i have thrown

away

the best thing i've

ever had

i hope i didn't ruin

tomorrow

for you or

for me

look out far now darling

there we

sail away

startled

unhappy people

will not concern

me......

Interesting. You seem to blame most of what happened on what you said. Words can be meaningful especially when thought through. I really like how ya separated the lines. It spaces them out and gives them a, "truer" meaning if that makes any sense.. lol. Enjoyed readin this one! Thanks :D
