What are you eating? You don't think about it at all, do you? But what if you did? I never used to. It was alive once Breathing, living, thinking Just like you It felt pain. Yet it died For you- to eat. You're eating a dead animal! What's the difference between What you're eating And your lovely dog sitting at home? What if you had to kill that animal- You couldn't just go up to the store. Every time you needed meat: Kill it, blood and all, stop its beating heart Prepare it, tear and throw out its guts Then eat it. I think maybe then We'd have a few more vegetarians in the world. Please just think about it. Please just understand what I mean.
I mean this in absolutely no offense to anyone! Just a bit of a rant. I've been around people are very rude about vegetarianism and act as though I am a horrid person. They don't understand why I decided this. So I wrote about why. I don't care if others eat meat. So thank you for reading! Please review.

Totally understand what you mean and wonderful poem . I mean I'm not a vegetarian or anything but, I do consider where my comes from and it once had life, a family, and maybe what we call friends. Its probably one of the reasons people don't like the head on their fish because they can see it watching them as if its asking why? If I had to hunt and kill my own food I wouldn't eat it because I never would have had the guts to kill it in the first place.Anyways well done with this poem and the meanig behind and it isn't rants as you have every right becuse a a pem is meant to expres and thats what you did.
I am a proud meat eater:) but i understand where this comes from. and the way you put it.... its kinda scary really!:/ but yeah... great description and i love the pics. Keep up the good work Dreama! c ya l8a!
I just felt I might as well comment here since I stumbled upon this poem, I'm a veggie too :)
I more a silent vegetarian though I did enjoy your expression on the topic.
:)
I have tried to become vegetarian, unfortunately I just love my grandmother's cooking too much to let go but yes I do understand your point on your beliefs and I like it. It is not as much of a rant as you think it sounds like it sounds more like a plea for people to understand their mistakes rather than a rant at society's flaws. Great work.
