I was part of a protest a few days ago and afterwards I knew I had to write about it. The result is this and various short stories. I do not own this picture. Thanks for reading, please review :)

I love the way you describe a single powerful moment, the expressions you use are so effective! real poem of the spur of the moment! like a camera shot...
Take a stand for what you believe in! this in a really strong write and I really really enjoyed this :-) and thank you so much for your kind review on my poem
Nice work. I love the title and all speaks for itself and all. "to take a stand," its something we all need to do once and awhile when that something or someone special comes along. We have stand tall and proud. So thank you for telling us and reminding us when something is dear and worth speaking up for we must "Take a Stand!" Brava!
We need to take a stand....now more than ever...there is a time for everything and well.....now, heading towards 2012's awakening, its time! Excellent love xx
I think that this is a great poem and I think that you have done a good job about writing this.
I think that this should be somthing that people do anyway it should become a stand for other people as well.
Well done. :)
Great poem, and being part of the freedoms of this great country. We are so fortunate that we live in the land of the free and not so free, but it will get better and better. Some countries have so far to go to even allow free speech. It was not so long ago when The Bible was not permitted to be even read in public, or even in private, or to even have copies of it in most of Europe. This still is a jail sentence or death sentence in some countries.
Yes, "Take a Stand!", for what you believe.
Nicely done!
when I read this i feel a rush of adrenaline like how i do when i watch the preview of cool movies and then im like "I HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE"
When i read this im like "I HAVE TO JOIN THIS RIOT!"
great work lol
Years ago I participated in a march for equal housing in a part of Virginia. We were met by the KKK and we had to march between police dressed in full riot gear. This was in the 80's but it reminded me of the 60's it was like living history instead of only reading about it. I don't think we take a stand anymore in this country, we instead roll over and play dead. Superb poem, I loved it.
☼ Hey! Well I'm a writer, of course.
I love hanging out with my friends, writing, reading, shopping, being outside, listening to music, cooking, gardening, photography, acting and playing guit.. more..
