I don't know how much of a music fanatic you are, but if you have a strong passion for music, this would make a really nice song, like with a slow, soft piano medley or something. Probably best in a mezzosoprano voice.

Neruda wrote a poem much like this - a plea for his lover to stay and be true. The short lines, imploring the person to stay work well here (despite the absence of poetic language) as they did for Neruda. Keep writing.
