What do you wish to a shooting star?

Amie and her daughter stayed up that night. The news revealed that a meteor shower, Leonid in nature, was to occur and they were not about to miss that.

They sat by the window and waited for the show to start, "You know, honey, when you see a falling star, you should make a wish. They say the world will grant it for you. Why don't we try that?"

When at last, a long streak etched on the sky, the mother and daughter closed their eyes to make their wish. After a while, they were preparing to go to bed.

"What did you wish for?" Amie asked, expecting her daughter to answer things like candies or toys.

"I wished that Mom's wishes come true."

This brought tears to Amie's eyes.
