Christmas wish

Christmas wish

A Poem by elizabutterfly

I wish to be the brightest star,
I wish to be the sky,
I wish to be the serene moon
and the apple of your eye.

I wish to be the mythical yarn,
fabricated by the mystical night.
The wind that tears the sheds apart,
and that which flies a kite.

I wish to be the sparkling dew,
on the fragrant delicate pearls.
I wish to be the sensuous lily,
adorning nature's curls

I wish to be frothy wave,
dancing on the sea.
I wish to be a fluttering butterfly,
and I wish to be 'me'.

I found myself uttering this piece aloud with an accent of mysticism and wonder. As usual, I'm stunned with splendor and amazement. Go you!
