Hollow, but healing

Hollow, but healing

A Poem by mess of gorgeous chaos

Heartbreak left me hollow and empty
I didn't realize that I relied on you to fill me aplenty
I felt bare inside like an abandoned warehouse or a vacant treasure chest
and tattered where burning memories of you used to be pressed.

Fighting off sin and sorrow
I searched for a better tomorrow
I did not find it fast or where I thought it'd be
But it was always there waiting for me.

Heartbreak dragged my heart through raggedy terrains
But now to your command I no longer have chains
I am my own person through and through
I will heal, without you.
