human, human, human

human, human, human

A Poem by mess of gorgeous chaos
"

we are all unique to what we feel, who we are, what we've gone through. even when we are categorized in stereotypes there is variation among each person. but we are all human.

"

Types of boys: frayed rope, car speeding through the city, lightning in a field, fading graffiti

Types of boys: half-smiles, insomnia, scarred hands, broken window, like father like son

Type of boys: library book, sold old bicycle, lost pet, garden weed, just trying to find a home somewhere

Types of boys: human

Types of girls: willow trees, galaxy eyes, strawberry curls, cemented destruction

Types of girls: prom queen, rolled up sleeves, chipped nail polish, i's dotted with hearts

Types of girls: broken glass, chipped paint, worn-out shoes, wilted rose, cracked seashell, extinguished match, once beautiful but now abandoned

Types of girls: human

Types of people: thunderstorm, cloudless sky, hail, dew droplets, overflowing creek, light breeze, hurricane

Types of people: swatted like a bumble bee, broken tears, striped laughter, wrinkles from smiling over the years

Types of people: coffee steam, the chirps of birds, bread crumbs, the shadows on your walls, the moon during the day, there but you never noticed

Types of people: fits stereotypes, breaks them, powerful creature, beautiful metaphor

Types of people: boy, girl, man, woman, child, spirit, soul, creation, sibling, friend, lover, self, [({human})]

Author's Note

mess of gorgeous chaos
not sure if some hidden meaning is explained.

some sections all the words are different, for example the first line- lightning in a field and fading graffiti. metaphors that represent 2 completely different boys.
some are categorized, like the first line of 'types of people'- all weather, but still all different. a hurricane and a cloudless sky are completely different, but still fit under the category of weather. like people!! people may be stereotyped but even among that stereotype all individuals are different.
then for the second line of 'types of girls': if you look at just prom queen, you may think of a stereotypical girly and perfect girl. but rolled up sleeves suggests not so girly, chipped nail polish suggests not so perfect, i's dotted with hearts in her suicide note suggests girly but not so perfect. uniqueness to each girl.

is there a better way I can convey these messages? does the above explanation even make any sense at all haha? I feel like they are too hidden for a reader but I'm not sure how else to write it.

thanks xoxo
