The First NightA Poem by mess of gorgeous chaos9/13/13 <3The First Night was indescribable. Wish I could explain exactly how it felt but perfection is a little shy It doesnt want to do the talking but would rather have the memory speak for itself But somehow I need to convey it because a perfect night has long been absent from my life. Every moment added onto this memory like the way your arm reached around me as if it had been waiting to grab on to me for the longest time and it knew that it fit around me perfectly How we pressed into each other and it felt so natural I saw you smile when you looked at me and it made every other thought turn to mush I can't even remember how I lived before without ever seeing that stupid grin. The conversation flowed so easily I didnt have to think anymore just breath out the words and count on you to inhale them in The way your fingers lightly brushed up and down my side disturbing the butterflies deep inside who havent moved their wings in months a flipping frenzy released in my stomach Those single brushes of touch alone could excite every nerve in my body yet also calm any type of fear Ive ever had I can still picture the grazing of your fingertips against me How the contact was so slight but said all the words we've been yearning to tell each other for all these months The way that a single night made up for all the days of our awkward half-love Stuck in the middle of wanting you and calling you mine Stuck in the middle of showing you how I feel and having to keep it to myself. The waiting was all worth it. The first night whispered in my ear and said It's finally time. Are you ready? This is going to be good. And you sensed its word. And we pulled each other in tighter. Not knowing what to expect for all the nights after the first but knowing, we're ready and this is going to be good.
