You Have Altered My State Of Being.

Alone is not just a state of being to me 

but a place. 

Alone is the room only I have the ability 

to retreat to. 

Alone is where the air and earth 

seem never ending. 

The world is at control of me. 

Alone is where any thought 

is allowed to break the surface 

and any action can play out. 

Alone is where I can act as myself 

and be the person I want to be.

But I don't like alone. 

Because I am not just alone 

I am also lonely

and you need another person 

to fix loneliness. 

Alone is a room 

where I can not be with you 

and I want to always be by your side. 

I do not want to retreat to any room 

unless I know you're right there, waiting for me.

Every second is a chance I have 

to be in your presence. 

I fear I'll miss out on 

a monumental moment 

and then it won't seem like 

I'm a monumental part 

of your life. 

I want everyone to know 

that I am, especially you. 

You may not realize you have 

a person in between the walls 

waiting for you to call them out 

but I have been there since the beginning.
