BREAKFAST, SOUTH OF FRANCEA Poem by elitheportThe few brief days we spent together in the sunA BRIEF BREAKFAST, SOUTH OF FRANCE red and white striped table cloth bedecked the ancient wooden table in the ‘Garden of Ethene’ in Sette warm was the sun at eight o’ clock that morning glinting off the ivy-decked, terracotta wall across the glinting, glass and white pottery as sat we down on the wicker chairs a sip of fresh orange juice zipped my mind back to reality cleared of all wine sodden haze reality was here with you your image through that white, cotton dress as the sunlight caressed your beautiful body your n*****s stood proud and your buttocks stood I ate with hunger and eagerness for you the coffee tasted good and like your body just sour enough to be real the smell of the black earth, and the lemons from whatever climbed and filled the small, walled garden could only chorus to your orchestra overflowing with love and emotion I could but sit and observe relaxed and filled with your being I made love to you over the cornflakes and you responded over the orange juice so much passion ran as to put to shame any young couple, just met yet we had met and parted some twenty years before and met again. Well met !
