Snake Woman

Snake Woman

A Poem by Cult Barbie
"

My body is evidence

"

I became more snake than woman

Others he poisoned did not care

If I got caught in the crossfire meant for him

I know he can feel the fear I'm carrying around

My body is only a piece of evidence

that I'm guarding for the prosecutor

I can still taste his blood in my mouth

This one doesn't say it in so many words, but the symbolism speaks tellingly of sexual abuse. The speaker is refusing to be a passive victim. Hopefully the prosecutor will be moved. A powerful piece of work here.

Sometimes when you crawl on the ground to get to your prey, the bite is more effective.
Victory to the snake woman.
