Summer 2007

A Poem by Elise Anton
"

Letting go...

"

Letting go

the love, passion

delirium, releasing

time and time again.

Purging and cleansing

shadows of stubborn moments

stained and ingrained

with recklessness.

We never looked back

that final time

never properly said

our proper goodbyes.

Just headed north and south

letting State boundaries

divide us.

Always the letting go

over and over

the letting go and witnessing

constant impossibility.

Love binds. Divided lives

nevertheless lived alongside

like two young children

walking the woods and

dreaming of slaying dragons.
