Poem #30

Poem #30

A Poem by Elisa

Look, Look into the mirror
tell me what you see
for to my eyes it is clear

This you have said
so often, so often that now
I hear it daily in my head

A step forward day by day
stopping to listen
listening to what you have to say

Old habits are hard to break
even though I know - deep inside
old thought hard to shake

Slowly I changed myself
from the outside in
The image in the mirror my true reflection - no reason to be glum

All I must do - Is see
to think, know, believe
For the reflection truly is me
